Tourism In Focus
MP Kim Swan
Tourism In Focus is a destination-minded, economic, and community-centered program exploring the dynamics of Bermuda’s vital tourism industry, hospitality sector, and cultural heritage. Airing on Magic 102.7 FM, each broadcast features engaging discussions, industry insights, and forward-thinking strategies designed to inform the public, highlight local heritage, and promote sustainable growth across the island’s hospitality landscape.
Hubert “Kim” Swan, JP, MP, is a veteran Parliamentarian, public servant, and historic sports icon whose career spans decades of leadership in governance, sports, and tourism development. The Parliamentary Representative for St. George’s West and former Junior Minister for Tourism, Culture, and Sport, he holds a Bachelor of Science from Troy State University. A trailblazing professional golfer, he was the first Bermudian to compete on the PGA European Tour and a three-time Bermuda Open Champion. Built on a strong foundation of public service, economic advocacy, and community outreach, he has dedicated his life to advancing Bermuda’s cultural and economic interests.
Swan transitioned into radio to bring critical conversations surrounding Bermuda’s chief economic drivers directly to the airwaves. His background as a seasoned legislator, tourism advocate, and global ambassador for Bermuda inspired him to leverage Magic 102.7 FM as an accessible platform—bridging the gap between government policy, hospitality stakeholders, and everyday Bermudians.
His mission as a host is to educate, inspire, and champion the revitalisation of Bermuda’s tourism sector, using national pride, cultural authenticity, and economic empowerment as a guiding light.
